Chris Temperante, CEO/Partner
Chris Temperante is CEO and Managing Partner for Volkart May and has been in that role since 2008.
Chris has spent the majority of her career in Medical Devices, including global management roles in mergers and acquisitions, marketing, business development, sales and clinical services at 3M Company over a 20 year period. She was VP Sales and Marketing for Graseby Inc, a British medical device manufacturer. She also served as General Manager for the Gynecology division of MedAmicus, Inc and later, as President of the BioMeasurement Division at Hutchinson Technology.
Chris currently is an active member of Medical Alley and has served as co-chair of its Marketing Committee. She sits on the board of Tamarack Habilitation Services, an orthotics and prosthetics company and serves as Chair of the St. Paul Conservatory of Music. She is a member of the University of St. Thomas School of Business Career Advisory Board. She is a past chair of the CEO Roundtable organization of small businesses in the Twin Cities.
Chris has a passion for business and marketing strategy, especially in the health care and medical device field. She consults with clients and outside groups in the areas of marketing focus, small business success and turnarounds.
Bruce Volkart, Chairman/Partner
Bruce Volkart is Chairman and Managing Partner for Volkart May. For more than nine years prior to founding Volkart May, Bruce was Principal and President of Andcor Companies, a Minneapolis firm providing full-service executive search as well as general human resource consulting services.
Bruce is currently on the Board of Advisors for St. Catherine’s Sales Innovation Program and is an active member of the Business Marketing Association, Medical Alley, and The CEO Roundtable organizations. He also serves on the board of Hammer Residences, Inc.
Previously, Bruce served on the Board of Directors of the Twin West Chamber of Commerce in Minneapolis and was a Chairperson of the Chamber’s Small Business Council. Bruce also served on the Board of Advisors for the Business-to-Business Database Marketing national conference.
Bruce provides business development and go-to-market consulting expertise focused on direct marketing strategies to healthcare and B2B organizations.
Cathy Schmid, Vice President of Business Development/Partner
As Vice President of Business Development Cathy is responsible for researching, identifying, and securing business development opportunities for Volkart May. Cathy’s focus includes helping health care and B2B companies increase their sales through lead generation, appointment setting and database updating services. Cathy is responsible for business development initiatives, including being a team member for the development of a market segmentation plan to expand Volkart May’s health care expertise.
Cathy joined Volkart May in 2008 as the Director of Business Development with over 20 years of sales success in strategic relationship building and expertise in B2B acquisition/retention campaigns, direct marketing and customer research for major companies. Cathy serves as a key member of the executive leadership team at Volkart May and has professional memberships in Medical Alley and Women’s Health Leadership TRUST.
Prior to Volkart May, Cathy was the National Director of Healthcare Sales for Customer Elation where she was responsible for net-new sales of telemarketing campaigns and database management services for Minnesota based companies.
Cathy has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Caroline Meyers, Director of Client Services/Partner
As Director of Client Services, Caroline is responsible for ensuring clients have the best possible experience and get the results they need and expect. Focus is placed on ensuring the right people are in place as well as the technologies and processes to support them.
Caroline has been with Volkart May since 2007 in a variety of roles supporting healthcare and B2B clients. She joined as a Business Development Specialist calling on client campaigns, moved into a marketing position and then combined the experience and transitioned into client services and management. Caroline leads a team of client managers, is a primary contact for clients and serves as a key member to the executive leadership team. Professional membership is held with Medical Alley.
Prior to Volkart May, Caroline held a marketing and sales position for a Real Estate Investment Trust. She also held a marketing position for a technology and infrastructure company.
Caroline has a B.A. in Business Marketing from the University of St. Thomas.
